Joining
Candidacy for membership into a graduate chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority is by invitation only and open to women of high ethical and scholastic standards who have obtained an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college or university.

For members reactivating or transferring into Alpha Lambda Omega, we welcome you with open arms. Please be sure to complete the Reactivation Form or Transfer Verification Form. Instructions are included.

Chapter meetings are open to duly initiated members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Proof of membership is required and must be verified prior to entering the meeting.

Visiting Soror Meeting Information
We welcome visiting Sorors to attend an Alpha Lambda Omega Chapter meeting! To ensure a smooth check-in process, please review the following requirements before planning to attend.
Visiting Sorors must complete the Alpha Lambda Omega Chapter Visitation Request Form at least 7 days prior to the chapter meeting they wish to attend. Visiting Sorors may attend up to two Alpha Lambda Omega Chapter meetings prior to joining the chapter.
Identification Required for Entry
All visiting Sorors must present two forms of identification at the time of meeting entry.
- Primary: A valid government-issued photo ID
- Secondary (one of the following):
- A current or past financial card
- A copy of your original membership certificate signed by our Corporate Office
- A receipt from a Cluster, Regional Conference, or Boule that includes your name
- An invitation from a chapter member who will be attending the meeting
Business Attire Required
Business attire is required for all chapter meetings.
Jeans, T-shirts, and sneakers are not considered business attire.
